Turnaround management
Corporate turnaround management services
Hands-on leadership that stabilizes, restructures and rebuilds when the business cannot afford to wait.
Octobiz delivers corporate turnaround management for mid-sized companies facing financial pressure, operational breakdown or a real crossroads. We do not advise from the sidelines. We step in and take responsibility for the outcome: Cash first, then the structural fix, then sustainable growth.
Definition
What is turnaround management?
Turnaround management stabilizes a company in financial or operational distress and returns it to sustainable profitability.
It runs in four phases: Diagnosis and 13-week cash control, stabilization with lenders and suppliers, restructuring and execution, and handover to a strengthened management team. The earlier it starts, the more options remain.
What we do
Our turnaround management consulting services
When a business is under pressure, the order of operations matters. We identify the critical issues, protect the cash position and only then build toward sustainable recovery.
Cash flow management
We build a 13-week cash forecast, renegotiate supplier and lender terms and protect liquidity while the wider turnaround takes shape.
Business restructuring
We rework the financial, operational and organizational structure so it fits the business you actually run.
Change management
We take your people through the transition, so new structures and processes are carried rather than resisted.
Process improvement
We remove bottlenecks and waste to raise productivity and lower costs, measured against agreed KPIs.
Strategic realignment
Market analysis, competitive assessment and a clear roadmap toward the business model that will carry the company.
Foreign market entry and relocation
When the answer lies in another country, we plan and run the entry or relocation with you.
Stage 1 · Rapid rescue plan
Three packages, each at a fixed fee
The package depends on complexity, not on revenue alone. A company with €120 million in revenue and five country subsidiaries is a Core case.
Fixed fee starting at €54,000, plus 10% flat expenses, payable in advance. Additional work is only done by change order with its own fixed price.

The rescue plan is a management planning document. It is not an IDW S6 opinion, an independent business review or a solvency statement. For companies above €500 million in revenue, we offer an independent business review on request.
How we work
How our turnaround management consulting works
From the first call to a bankable plan usually takes three to four weeks. Implementation then runs for three to eighteen months.
Step 01 of 04
Recoverability scan and cash control
We check whether the company can be saved, take control of liquidity and build the 13-week cash forecast.
Rescue plan and stabilization
We agree standstills and revised terms with lenders and suppliers and give them a reporting cadence they can trust.
Restructuring and execution
We implement the plan hands-on, with interim executives and a transformation office where needed.
Handover and sustainable growth
We hand over to a strengthened management team with clear KPIs, and the Rescue Monitor can keep watching cash if you wish.
Sector experience
Turning challenges into growth across our core sectors
A playbook shaped by real operational experience, not theory.
Construction
Cost overrun and liquidity squeeze. Material and subcontractor costs outrun the budget while payment milestones slip, and cash runs short mid-project.
Key executive departure mid-project. A COO or project director leaves at a critical stage, and banks, clients and crews lose their point of control.
Civil Engineering
Fixed prices, rising inputs. Long public contracts were priced before steel, energy and labor costs moved, and every month of delay erodes the margin.
Working capital locked in retentions. Delayed acceptance, retentions and disputed variations tie up cash while bonding lines tighten.
Real Estate
Overleveraged portfolio. Falling valuations and higher interest rates push loan-to-value ratios toward covenant limits.
Stalled development project. Construction stops over cost or financing gaps, and the asset ties up capital without generating income.
Manufacturing
Margin erosion. Energy, labor and material costs rise faster than prices can follow, and contribution margins shrink quarter by quarter.
Supply chain disruption. A key supplier fails or input prices jump, and delivery commitments and customer penalty clauses come under threat.
Hospitality & Tourism
Seasonal cash flow strain. Off-season revenue gaps stretch working capital while staff, lease and loan commitments run all year.
Leadership gap before peak season. A general manager leaves ahead of the season, and service standards and revenue targets are at risk.
Technology
Burn rate crisis. Spending outpaces revenue growth, the runway shortens, and the next funding round is uncertain.
Founder exit during scaling. The founder steps back just as the company scales, leaving gaps in leadership, product direction and investor relations.
